Proof-reading is a one-step process where our expert whose mother tongue is either Korean or English checks the use of vocabulary and grammar and then also improves the use of the language by the substitution of words, phrases, clauses and sentences so as to provide an overall result which is indistinguishable from what would be produced by a highly literate, educated, and professional native speaker with experience in that particular area of expertise.
Note that machine translated scripts are not considered to be proof-reading, but rather translation. This is because, following a machine translation, the script still requires further translation in a two-step process, and a complete rewriting to produce the final professional version.
All proof-reading work is provided with an official signed and stamped Certificate of Editing along with a commercial Invoice.
Our standard rates for proof-reading are 60 won per word for delivery within 4 working days, 70 won within 3 working days, 80 won within 2 working days, and 120 won within 24 hours. For multiple revisions of the same document the charge rate is 150 won per word.
